World Cup 2023: Pragyan Ojha looking forward to Heinrich Klaasen facing India spinners at Eden Gardens
Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha is excited to see a battle between India bowlers and South Africa batters at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 5.
India have South Africa have dominated the tournament so far and have put up commanding displays on the field. While South Africa suffered a shock loss against the Netherlands in Dharamsala, India are still undefeated in the tournament so far.
Ojha took to Twitter after India’s win against Sri Lanka and said that he cannot wait to watch Heinrich Klaasen face India spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja at the Eden Gardens.
“Well done Shami once again. Indian team marches on! Can’t wait to see the clash between Indian bowlers and South African batsmen, especially looking forward to Heinrich Klaasen facing Indian spinners at Eden. It promises to be a thrilling clash,” Pragyan Ojha wrote on Twitter.
India have put om back to back sensational displays with the ball in the World Cup 2023. First they defended 230 runs against England in Lucknow, bundling them out for just 129 runs. In their next game at Wankhede, India bowled out Sri Lanka for just 55 runs while defending 358.
The Indian team have ticked all boxes in the tournament so far and are looking like a touch above the rest. They will face steep competition against South Africa in their next match, given the SA side have been setting records with their bat in the World Cup 2023. The side has already scored 8 centuries and has broken the record for most sixes hit in a single edition of the tournament.
South Africa have scored a 350+ total three times in their last 4 matches and have shown the affinity to bat first in the tournament. Two times that SA have chased a target, they have lost against the Netherlands and sneaked in a one-wicket victory against Pakistan.
