The Ford Field was left in absolute shock as Jimmy Uso played a big role in the finish of the Tribal Combat main event.

While Iyo Sky climbed to the top of the mountain of the WWE Women’s division at SummerSlam 2023. The night started with Logan Paul and Ricochet setting the pace for the whole event. Paul once again showed why he was so good inside a wrestling ring as both men delivered some incredible counters to the crowd’s amazement.

However, Paul got the win with some underhand tactics as he used brass knuckles to get a clean shot at Ricochet and get the three-count.

Next up, was the final bout of the heated feud between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare went for the offensive right from the beginning, but Lesnar would come back and gain control.

It was a performance that resembled Lesnar’s domination of John Cena from SummerSlam 2014, but Rhodes refused to give up. In the end, the American Nightmare got his redemption as he hit a series of Cross Rhodes to get the clean win. After the match, in a show of great respect, Lesnar shook Rhodes’ hand as the crowd appreciated both men.

The SummerSlam battle royal was next with Omos being the biggest threat in the match. The giant would score some impressive eliminations but he was eliminated with a joint effort from everyone. LA Knight, the fan favourite, would finally eliminate Sheamus to win the match.

Next was the grudge match between Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, contested under MMA rules. The former best friends would dig deep into their MMA arsenal with Rousey seemingly edging closer to the win.

However, Baszler, with an injured arm, was able to lock in the Khirifuda clutch and get the win. Rousey has been rumoured to leave WWE after this match.

The Intercontinental title match was a banger as Gunther was pushed to the limit by Drew McIntyre. Both men delivered some incredible shots to each other. A costly mistake from McIntyre on the top rope opened the door for Gunther, who would finally put away the Scottish Warrior to continue his historic reign.

In probably the best match of the night, Seth Rollins would retain his World Heavyweight title against Finn Balor. In a bout that was seven years in the making, both superstars showed why they were two of the best in the business.

The Judgement Day interference proved to be the telling factor in the match as Mr Money In The Bank Damian Priest would cause chaos with his briefcase. While at first, he almost helped Balor to win, Rollins turned it around when he stomped the Judgement Day leader into the MITB briefcase to get the three-count.

The WWE Women’s Championship match was filled with surprises as we saw the title change hands twice. Bianca Belair, Charlotte and Asuka would deliver another classic women’s match but the turning point came in when the EST of WWE seemed to injure her knee.

It momentarily changed into a singles match with Charlotte and Asuka fighting it out, but Belair returned with the injury. The finish saw Asuka hit the mist on Charlotte as she had the Figure 8 on Belair. The EST would then pin Asuka to win the title.

However, the night wouldn’t end as Iyo Sky cashed in her MITB briefcase and, one moonsault later, was crowned as the new WWE Women’s Champion.

The main event was the Tribal Combat which lived up to its hype. Jey and Reigns exchanged some incredible offence. There were some big moments in the match with Solo Sikoa playing a big role as well.

However, the biggest swerve came in the end when it seemed like Jey was going to win the match. Jimmy Uso returned to betray his own brother and help Reigns win the match and retain the title and the position as the Tribal Chief.
