Precious metals showed mixed trends in the Indian markets today. Gold is trading on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) while silver prices have recorded a hike on Wednesday, October 9.
Gold futures, maturing on December 5, 2024, stood at Rs 75,143 per 10 grams, after recording a dip of Rs 18 or 0.02 per cent. The previous close was recorded at Rs 75,161.
Meanwhile, silver futures, due on December 5, 2024, witnessed a hike of Rs 371 or 0.42 per cent and were retailing at Rs 89,100 per kg on the MCX against the previous close of Rs 88,729.

The price of gold varies for different regions in the country based on certain parameters such as the excise duty, making charges and the state taxes.
GOLD, SILVER PRICES IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET
Gold prices were subdued on Wednesday as investors strapped in for minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting for insights into the U.S. central bank’s interest rate trajectory, news agency Reuters reported.
According to the latest metal report, held its ground at $2,619.75 per ounce by 0255 GMT, while, U.S. gold futures gained 0.1% to $2,638.20.
Among other precious metals, spot silver fell 0.3% to $30.62.
